According to the Bavarian Higher Education Act the pre-study internship regulations will be stipulated in the Program and Examination Regulations of each course of study. Applicants who did not complete an internship (e.g. secondary-school graduates) will have to provide the completion of a practical course or a minimum six-week practical activity before the beginning of their studies.
Practical training / Pre-study internship
Regulations on pre-study practical experience are set out in the study and examination regulations of the respective degree programs for degree programs that require practical training/pre-study practical experience.
Applicants who wish to complete a dual study program (combined study program or a study program with in-depth practical training) do not have to complete the corresponding pre-study practical training, provided they submit a valid contract with a company for the dual training with their application for admission.
Study and examination regulations as well as other university statutes can be found under University Statutes.
Pre-study internship
The pre-study internship is an internship that must be completed before the start of studies and/or during the lecture-free periods until the start of the 4th semester at the latest, which corresponds to the future degree program. The pre-study work placement can be completed in a company of the student's choice.
The FOS/BOS technical training course for technical degree courses is recognized.
