Schanzer Racing Electric

We are Schanzer Racing Electric, the Formula Student Team of Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. Since our foundation in 2010 by five committed alumni, we have been passionately dedicated to the development, design and production of an electrically powered racing car. With this vehicle, we compete annually in the international “Formula Student”, the world's largest competition for engineers and designers, where we compete with teams from colleges and universities from all over the world. 

Formula Student was founded by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and is much more than just a design competition. In addition to the development and production of racing cars, organization and communication within the team also play a central role. 

Our team offers members an opportunity to develop their skills beyond their studies. Whether theoretical or practical knowledge - with us you can contribute and expand your knowledge in the development of a racing car. From the initial idea to the finished vehicle, impressive results are produced in one year, which are realized using modern project methods, communication tools and software. We encourage both independent work and teamwork. 

In addition to competition, team spirit is our main focus. There is a great deal of support not only within our team, but also in exchanges with other university teams. Whether by sharing equipment or giving each other advice - the passion for the common goal unites everyone. At the end of each competition, we celebrate together - regardless of the result. The effort, the hard work and the sleeplessness pay off every time.
