Transfer activities take place in various areas and fields of action. These include teaching, research, entrepreneurship, continuing education, consulting, events, outreach and engagement.
The university makes a central contribution to the transfer of knowledge and technology to society through study projects, internships and final theses in companies. An outstanding platform for knowledge transfer is the Institute for Academic Continuing Education (IAW), where current knowledge is transferred directly to business practice via part-time students.
Numerous events provide platforms for dialogue between experts and interested citizens. We maintain close cooperation with the region's schools and offer numerous formats of knowledge transfer and hands-on activities throughout the year. Mobile laboratories and the science gallery make science and research tangible for civil society. The university actively supports those interested in setting up a business through the Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE).
