Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) invites you to the online lecture series "Energy - Environment - Sustainability" in summer semester 2020. Speakers from scientific and economic practice will inform about current topics in the field of "Energy - Environment - Sustainability". The 45-minute lectures in German language take place on Wednesdays at 18.30 hrs via Zoom and Skype. Afterwards the speakers are available for discussions.
On Wednesday, 29 April, Prof. Dr. Uwe Holzhammer, THI Professor of Energy Systems Technology, will speak about the opportunities and risks of new energy generation in his lecture "Energy system transformation - the change process of the 2020s". Energy consumption and generation are moving closer to citizens and companies. The lecture will highlight the opportunities that can be exploited and the risks that can be reduced.
On Wednesday, May 6, Prof. Reinhard Büchl, Head of the Institute for Applied Sustainability (INAS), will speak about "Plastic - Curse or Blessing? In his lecture he will show the advantages and disadvantages of plastics and possible solutions for the sustainable use of plastics.
On Wednesday, May 13, Ann-Kathrin Roßner, Cluster Manager Sustainable Development in "Mensch in Bewegung", the joint transfer project of THI and KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, will speak about the "UN Sustainability Strategy - Ways to a Transformation in Region 10". She examines the question of which challenges politics, society and economy have to face in order to do justice to a sustainable and future-proof development.
The lecture series is organized by Prof. Dr. Sabine Bschorer, Professor of Fluid Mechanics, Energy Technology, Process and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Department of Energy Systems and Renewable Energies.
