"Meet the Fleet" was the motto under which all students from the Bachelor and Master in Aeronautical Engineering, alumni and lecturers in Aeronautical Engineering were invited. For a personal reunion, in the most beautiful October sunshine, outside in front of the laboratories.
The interest was great and all participants were happy about the first meeting in a long time! Over Bavarian cold drinks there was a lively exchange, the opportunity to network with each other but also with former students. In this way, contacts could be made directly with potential employers. Aeronautical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering currently has around 200 students.
With the study programme "Aeronautical Engineering", you can expect a study programme that is oriented towards the latest developments and research topics in aviation and is characterised by close networking with industry and research. The subject of aeronautical engineering is the development, construction, equipment and operation of aircraft and helicopters or drones. In addition to mastering theoretical principles, this also includes understanding how these are applied to technical products in the aviation industry. In addition to the faculty's own laboratories, several industrial companies in the aviation industry are located in the Ingolstadt area and renowned aviation museums are at home in southern Bavaria.
