Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) is continuing the successfully launched online lecture series "Energy - Environment - Sustainability" with two new dates in May and June:
On Wednesday, 27 May, Dr. Matthias Grote, Chairman of the Bavarian State Association for Wind Energy, will speak on the implementation of the energy turnaround in Bavaria from the perspective of the State Association. In his speech he will discuss the current state of acceptance among the population, what implementation makes sense for Bavaria as an industrial location and what must be done politically from the association's point of view to promote the energy system transformation on the ground.
On Wednesday, 17 June, Thilo Jungkunz, Head of the Decentralised Energy Supply Division of Naturstrom AG in Eggolsheim, will speak on the subject of "From green electricity to eco-heat". Most households consume more energy just for heating the building than for all other purposes combined. While green electricity is generated from water, wind and the sun, solar energy, wood and geothermal energy can be used for ecological heat generation. The presentation will highlight the various energy production technologies and show ways of efficiently combining electricity and heat.
The 45-minute presentations are available via Zoom. After the lecture, the speakers will be available for discussions. The lecture series is organized by Prof. Dr. Sabine Bschorer, Professor of Fluid Mechanics, Energy Technology, Process and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Department of Energy Systems and Renewable Energies.
